 Another month slips away and even in rainy season there are opportunities to get out and about. A month to enjoy walks, scenery, life, food and drink. And oh, in case my praise for the places I visit makes you think they pay me to sing loudly about them... I wish😁

 Fingers crossed for a rain free walk I set out to try and decide which, if any between the Narawat  and Iron bridges would make a good sunset timelapse. I opted for the Iron bridge it being as my friend Charlie Farley says, quite possible the most photographed in Chiang Mai and where I though the least obstructed view would be. At this time of year the setting angle is not at its best and there was not much tone in the sky as the sun slid from view. All good practice though.

 I finally put together my last Chicken set at Spices Indian Restaurant Chiang Mai-ร้านอาหารอินเดียเชียงใหม่ before the revamp that sees their wonderful in house service go and the dishes being moved to take away. Sorry to see this place stop the wonderful meals in the establishment.

 Just a quick look; There are so many good places to eat in Chiang Mai, many so very good I forget to photo or video it until it is all over. Which happened here. So I did a quick phone sweep of the buffet to tempt your tastebuds

 A month ago we returned back to Chiang Mai from Viet Nam after a most enjoyable time. The last time? Well breakfast and flights, so if you dare not in to aircraft vide this isn't for you, maybe. But give it a try and  a like anyway. Who got the plugs ++plus bits? Air Asia, great flight Tony the boss of Air Asia for the message And even some memories of my younger days when airline owner like  Freddie Laker and Branson of Virgin used to care about customers, Air Asia is up there with them and they are affordable.

 It's a last full day and all things stopped until the thunderstorm passed by and it was bit a bit of light rain. This triggered the thought of having has a frantic holiday, today was just to chill and take the environment in.

 A little break from the Viet Nam Travelogs just now and as a little bit of my learning curve I took the DJI Pocket 4P out for a walk yesterday and tried a default setting timelapse. Oh the more observant amongst you may have noticed a new intro and exit bit as my previous effort had comments made that I looked like some geezer called Starmer. The channel name has also changed so as to stop confusion with my bog standard messaging stuff.

 The Water Puppet show, skilled puppeteers set a tale of life in rural Viet Nam. I was only able to get 2nd row seats for Pin and I  so the footing sometimes (unavoidably) includes audience.  Day 5  of the Viet Nam Travelog and a trip to the DMZ taking in some of the major sites and of course the Vinh Moc Tunnels

 Owdue again Day 4 of the Viet Nam Travelog and off to Hue from Da Nang. A route that took us along the coast then over the Hai Van Pass once described by Jeremy Clarkson as   "A deserted ribbon of perfection—one of the best coast roads in the world." Quite an accolade considering he was riding a scooter at the time, not exactly his favourite mode of travel it seems. In Hue we stayed at my favourite hotel the Scarlett Boutique Hotel, took a boat along the Perfume river to the pagoda and the Imperial city and finished the day with food and drink ant the DMZ bar.  The fireworks are over and after the explosive experience and the wine, a good sleep in preparation for a really great day was in order. Day 3 was a trip we had booked to Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge. You may have seen the Golden bridge on many promo adverts for Vietnam, it's the one with the hands. Pin has been wanting to go there for a while but her planned trips got the cop unfortunately. This time she got her wish. To be honest I hadn't researched this really so I wasn't particularly impressed that a trip to a bridge with concrete hands would be much of a trip. How wrong can you be! What a fantastic afternoon, what a great venue!!! Do I plan going back? Yup, sure do.

 At last, after a lot of censor induced cutting room floor contribution, the performance of the 2nd finalist, China, at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival Unfortunately one of the pieces of music used in the show has a global ban on it so YouTube wouldn't let me show the whole video. The only way round this was to edit out the offending piece, a bit of a shame but there it is.  For info, DIFF is an annual competition held each weekend around the May, June, July period. I liked this performance the best because I felt the synchronisation of pyrotechnics and music was great, the judges did not agree but what do they know😁  It is a very popular event and this year I was only able to get a "room with a partial view" from a hotel right opposite the main stage and grandstand (I was too late to get tickets from the hotels rooftop viewing area or the actual grandstands themselves). This presented me with some problems; The room I had did not give an unobstructed view o...
