Smoggy Sticky rice Cycle

 I wasn't intending to blog this one, after all it was, at the end of the day, just a short cycle ride. Let me set the scene: This was the last day I am taking my anti-inflammatory drugs and for the second day I wanted to get back into some gentle exercise and cycling is one of the more gentle ways I have of doing this. In fact I was also in the pool earlier as it needed a bit of a clean, that's really gentle but burning tons of calories, well it just doesn't. I was also instructed to call in a sticky rice shop on my travels. So I thought of a gentle little route and masked up. The mask is not a Covid measure now, it is to help exclude some of the PM2.5 pollution that blights this part of the world on an annual basis. The hobble home.

 Funny how things happen when you get old. Little twinges in your leg and bit of an ache after a game of footy, they all seem to disappear within a few minutes. Even in your later teens and twenties, a couple of pints down your local and the aches and pains were gone, along with any worries that may be nagging away. Add a few decades and instead of fading away the ache and pains not only remain but have an annoying tendency to get worse! And so it was that having been in slight discomfort the day before, I figured that as we needed to replenish the stock of veg for the pot I got it into my mind a gentle stroll back from the market would be just the ticket to gently exercise the muscles and joints and ease my aching back. mmm?
