A short slide show of a chilled June 2024

Image
Greetings and all that as the independence day celebrations commence. All I can say is "be careful what you wish for". Yes it looks like today will be the day many of that long established firm at the Westminster firm of More economical with the truth will face the sack following a hostile takeover. This is what happens when you let the shareholders actually decide your future instead of just posting it on social media. So will July be a momentous month? Who knows but June was chilled so here, courtesy of the Idle Editor, is a slideshow of it. Coffee.

Just a Relive for all to see.

Morning all. I think it is going to be another techy-tantrum day today, ACDSee stull aint working properly neither is the Relive to farcebook link. Facebook has decided to remove it as spam, they never give answers to challenges to their action either. Never mind, there is a brew on the way and as I have not included a walking post, here is yesterdays minimalist trot for sticky rice and beer. Coffee.

May 2024 has flown by.

June the 1st, only 3 weeks from the nights getting longer, can you imagine that. So the Idle Editor has put together a few snaps of the passing of May 2024, A Month that included a birthday, a passport renewal, the Clarets sliding out of the Premier League, food, drink and a Burg ride to Chiang Rai that included the snake in the shoe episode... What haven't seen it, it is on my YouTube channel as is the May 2024 slide show below.

Snake in the Trainer

OK the video is about my Burg ride to Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle but how often do you see someone riding pillion on a motorcycle stop in front of you and empty a snake out of her training shoe😲 Not very often but you will have to wait until the end of the video to see it (and even then you may have to look hard). Still, take my word for it, it happened. Coffee.

Seasons End

Hello all. Blog time, yes I know I do far more on social media now rather than taking the trouble to blog stuff but sometimes a blog works better. I guess when your short time in the English Premier League (that's footy if you have never heard of it) is played out to a disappointing end, although relegation had already been confirmed before the final game. As expected Manchester City proved themselves to be untouchable in both their financial matters and on the field taking the title, and Klopp said farewell to Liverpool with a home win. Here in Chiang Mai it is still hot, it is down a little from the highs reaching highs of 36℃, perhaps a little more. So walks can be a little draining, plus there is the possibility of a thunderstorm appearing which, I admit, does usually cool the air but it has a nasty habit of including high winds and heavy rain... But I am no wimp so yesterday I went a walk into the city to get my wife her staple sticky rice. I could have done that locally but ...
