March on

Morning hares and other mad beings; it is March, which is the time for madness I once read.

The 1st of March, hard to believe the year has already seen a couple of months go by.
I start March as fat, in the 2 days I have been on steroids for this sciatic problem, I have managed to gain 3kg 🤬, 3 f'in kg.

I used to consider the "hormonal and steroid" for being overweight but now, as you can imagine I have changed my tune.
Not only that I don't really know where the weight is coming from! My body fat has, if my scales are to be believed, not increased.
Today is my last steroid day and still banned from exercise I hope the total weight gain can be reduced once my condition is remedied.
Meanwhile in world news, headlines, perhaps thankfully, are few with the Russians reportedly talking of a crashed Ukranian drone although it is also reported that there are a vast number of US right wing social media engagements claiming the war is fake. These engagements, it is reported run into many millions.
To see February out there was Fa cup games and Blackburn Rovers reaching the quarter finals by disposing of a sorry Leicester city.
Just a little more pressure on the Clarets to also get through with a win tonight.
Perhaps a little more significant was the news that Brentford striker Ivan Toney has accepted breaking Football Association betting rules ahead of his appearance before a disciplinary panel.
It means the 26-year-old is potentially facing a lengthy ban. In 2017, Joey Barton - then a Burnley player - was banned for 18 months, reduced to 13 on appeal, after admitting placing 1,260 football-related bets over a 10-year period. (Info BBC).
I feel there is some justification in betting rules, but I also feel football is so very two faced, cake and eat it.
They are quite happy to allow very visible betting advertisement and sponsorship. Still, at least it is not tobacco 😡.
Mind you the footballing lot seem mild on this type of things when compared to F1 who, I predict may soon include mandatory gags for all drivers at race events and post race interviews using selected spokespersons.
Have a great March everyone.
Coffee.
