Family F1

 Sometimes these titles are so very hard  to think up so here is the catch up blog of the holiday long weekend. Today, the 1st of August (wow) is when the family planned to leave, but who knows, maybe they will stay for another day.

What did we get up to this holiday weekend, well in a rain effected weekend I set out to watch the F1 sprint race, not that my little stroll was without the threat of rain.

Still I got into the city without getting too wet, just sort of damp and to counter the dampness I sat at the pavement seating, Moment and Wine.

I looked at this scene,

The image of Chiang Mai 2023, a tuk-tuk waiting to catch a fare opposite one of the many many cannabis cafes. 

Interesting that today on 1August and tomorrow it is Buddhist lent and the sale of booze is prohibited. Still there is always cannabis 😝

Then to the Red Lion for the F1 sprint and a tasty roast beef.

The Saturday ended and in rolled Sunday when we went to a very very crowded Mon Jam.

The first port of call was Pong Yaeng Jungle Coaster & Zipline, boy was it busy but the kids wanted to ride the Jungle coaster 😊

From there up to Mon Jam where we called in a café with wonderful views

And a spectacular fruit waffle

Before the F1 race, I made a short video combining Pong Yaeng Jungle Coaster & Zipline and the F1 race, here it is...

Of course there was also an F1 going on in Belgium on Sunday as well so I strolled into the city in the evening enjoying a cracking roast beef at OMG

Then onto the Red Lion for the race

A good night even if the Belgian GP was outclassed by out own race.

Which leaves yesterday and we dined out for breakfast at OMG, a very fine breakfast,

Then in the evening on what may have been the last evening of the visit we ate at what Google maps calls Lung-Rat-Roast-Chicken

Here we are ready to tuk in

I chose safe choice of meal

And declined the offer to share the ant egg soup...
