Thursday on the town
Thursday and I am blogging about going out on the town, what's that all about?๐
Well as it happens, today, the morning after is the lead up to the first footy game of the English Premier League season (hereafter called the EPL as I can't be arsed to type the full name every time I use it).
And the first game happens to feature my team, the Clarets, Championship champions versus Manchester City, EPL champions and a huge mega-rich club.
With the all important televising of the game, the season starts at 02.00 Saturday here in Thailand. Not that I am complaining about that, if the EPL wasn't televised I wouldn't be able to watch the game at all but what it does mean is I am having a nice quiet night in to be ready for the early morning excitement from Turf Moor. And so I decided I would treat myself to a curry on Thursday.
The walk, of course is on Relive if you want to see it, well most of it anyway as I forgot to press start on the Garmin. That was a bit of a bugger as I wanted to try and do a bit of a guide for anyone as silly as me that fancies walking from Don Chan into the city still the Relive give some idea.
It has the snaps of the roads to cross and the like, for example
But I wont litter the blog with them after all there is a link to the Relive above๐although here is a little clip of the chaotic level crossing the route takes me across.Despite the chaos and the bit of drizzle that dampened my just a little, I arrived at Spices and enjoyed my predictable Spices chicken setAnd while we are on the subject of chicken, a friend sent me this recently, what is the world coming to๐
After the wonderful chicken set I wandered to Moment & Wine.
Naturally I had a glass of wine or two but how many times have I included that in a blog?
Oh go on then...
On my way out I saw they had one of those novel vapour lights so I tried to take a quick video of it, it is a bit shaky but here it isIt was dark by now and I always like the way Wat Buopharam looks lit up
And finally, the Red LionWhere I did not go for the Old Speckled Hen, nope I re-evaluated the San Miguel wheat beer. But now...
Coffee.
