Monday 21 April 2025. Easter Monday. A huge day. Part 1 The Burg needed to stretch its horizons and despite being only partly able, being under the weather due to this man-flu that has gripped my nose, throat, head and lungs, I needed a walk. Not too strenuous a walk mind you, one that is basically flat jet still so very interesting and scenic. Fortunately during our time together as friends in Chiang Mai, of the many many areas I grew to know and love with his guidance my friend Bill Carroll Had, in the past, introduced me to a place I felt would fit the bill. The last couple of things I have stuck on YouTube have been reviews, in this case, reviews of meals I have had. These have been some technical difficulties with then as I have been shooting them with my handheld Samsung S22ultra which I could possibly correct by giving me a birthday present of one of these new DJI osmo pocket 4's 🤞 If you haven't seen them on Instagram / Facebook or directly on YouTube and you are into food reviews here's your chance... The first one was the new style fish and chips at the Red Lion And after that one it was the Guinness and beef Pot Pie at the Causeway Irish Pub in Chiang Mai

Mont: My story starts some 10 years after WWII. My father had decided to make his post war future in the USA. He arrived on the SS Veendam in November of 1953 and set up home in Minnesota. The story goes that he received a cable from the lady that was to be his wife and my mother saying "Arriving Queen Mary, New York, 11 March 1954" "Be there!" I was born on the 10-year anniversary of V E day. I have no idea if this will be of interest or not, I just wanted a medium to record life's events, travels with some of my motorbike rides, cycles and the daily ups and downs. I hope I can include detailed trip reports etc and of course, as I am getting on in years, I can be very opinionated, you will find that out. Oh and I do a daily post on Facebook so I will start by using copy and paste of that, It can be a little out of the box.
