Shallow flooding due to Rain

 Late September 2024 and the floods that have blighted  many areas of Thailand came to the city of Chiang Mai.

The city has been hit quite badly with the river Ping exceeding its banks in many placed resulting in floods largely in the east of the city.

Further away from the river the areas are very much less effected but there is still flooding due largely to the pooling of rainfall.

After days of not being able to walk the routes I wanted to, I purchased a pair of wellies and set out to check the water levels on the roads. I had intended to maybe even see the city area but the wellies were not that comfortable and I felt it prudent to take a shorter route.

This is that shorter route, by no means a badly flooded as the area where the river has overspilled but causing disruption and some hardship even in these less effected areas.
