 Quite a bit of my recent trip (recent, it has taken ages to get this done...) was recorded on video.

I am still very much in the experimental stage and I have spent bucket loads of dosh on stuff to hold the phone and the like. 

Most of it defeats the sort of objective of using a phone as my main recording device because... It is always on my person and carrying around such devices as phone gimbals and the like sort of defeats the objective. Still sometimes it helps.

Tech banter over one of the things I wanted to do is put together a little bit on the actual travel, the flights, the train rides and the like to give a bit of a look at how this short trip went.

So here it is.

 Hello and here is just a little ramble on stuff that sparked a little interest in me over the last few days and as I want to bung a few photos on, the blog has to be a better format than Facebook which will get a copy anyway😁 Lets start about mentioning the sunset viewed down Thapae road on Thursday, and I put one you may recall, on Facebook but, I missed the better shot as I was in desperate need of a P. Chachoengsao and Pattaya

Saturday morning and after one or two coffees 😋 it was to meet the family then to the chosen restaurant for lunch. Then a drive to Pattaya that included 2 illegal moves and 2 motorway anchor on stops 😲 Not related. Pattaya and a beer at Bodega, A bar to watch the Clarets not playing And onwards for more football with Paul And a huge breakfast dinner. And so it goes.

Shallow flooding due to Rain

 Late September 2024 and the floods that have blighted  many areas of Thailand came to the city of Chiang Mai. The city has been hit quite badly with the river Ping exceeding its banks in many placed resulting in floods largely in the east of the city. Further away from the river the areas are very much less effected but there is still flooding due largely to the pooling of rainfall. After days of not being able to walk the routes I wanted to, I purchased a pair of wellies and set out to check the water levels on the roads. I had intended to maybe even see the city area but the wellies were not that comfortable and I felt it prudent to take a shorter route. This is that shorter route, by no means a badly flooded as the area where the river has overspilled but causing disruption and some hardship even in these less effected areas.
