Ambling to Immigration

 And a curry🍛.

I wanted to check something at immigration for my upcoming visa extension, here in Thailand you need to extend your visa when it comes to an end. Anyway what a good excuse to wander into the city for a beer and a curry.

But before I could go I did have to get some sticky rice and as I forgot to switch the Huawei app off when I returned to shower and change the whole walk was recorded. Want to see it? It doesn't take long...

I did see one thing of interest on my sticky rice leg of the day
I remember TVs like that, should be in a museum not dumped by the roadside😀

The walk to immigration is one I have done many times and recorded so I didnt think there was much of a point in blabbing on about that. Instead I thought I could ramble on about the fact that after immigration my walk was cut short by a rainy season cloudburst.

OK a bit of an excuse to add some snaps I took. 

Got I got a Grab car to a watering hole I occasionally pop into and proceeded to replenish some of the fluid list whilst walking.

And whilst I enjoyed replacing lost fluid the rain stopped, so I went for a haircut so that I didn't get too hot eating the curry a few minutes later

Of course not and I bet you haven't ever seen any snaps of where I went from there😂

I did pass Wat Si Don Chai along the way and as I thought the light made it look nice I took a snap of that as well

Amazing how enjoyable a trip to immigration can be.

 Greetings all It has been a busy time here in the Trinder household. Our friends Steve and Izzy are here, it’s great to see then after the Covid enforced travel ban so here are a few snapshots of the stuff we have been up to. Christmas dinner at O.M.G A wander around the 700-year park A wine or two at Moment and Wine A walk by Mae Kuang Dam where the water is still so high the lower road is under and no longer accessible. Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden Mon Jam And the Stinky Canal. All of this has been wonderful but for Pin and I it is clouded by our Satang being seriously ill and needing an operation. The good news is she looks to be healing well and today, fingers crossed, she can come back home and we can be a family again.

Olympus Oldies Diary

November 2023 and a small bunch of retired Olympus UK oldies got together for bike rides, MotoGP and a trip to Vietnam. So I hastily put together some snaps to make a slide diary. Unfortunately my slideshow app kept crashing and simply would not produce the normal 4K video so here it is at FHD. Which, as it has taken all day to get it done is probably as good as this will be, at least until I know what is going wrong.

Olympus Oldies, the Pattaya Ride

 Only a month after the event, it is a good job I am not paid as a reporter. Anyway, with a November scheduled to a bunch of oldies that once worked for Olympus, when Olympus was Olympus that is, setting out to take South East Asia by storm (more a gentle breeze) the world needs to know that later life can be fun, an awful lot of fun. The drawback does include getting stuff wrong, like deleting the bikes onboard video before checking it had been transferred😖 so on this particular video you have to make do with the Relive trace. No way do I, or am I anything like the talented friends from Olympus and elsewhere when it comes to artistic prowess but it is good to be able to bring the viewing public down to earth now and again.
