That's AI for you

Image
AI, it is everywhere isn't it? It's going to take over the world, lord knows Arnold Schwarzenegger has made a fortune when AI became "self aware". So I thought lets ask a couple of popular AI apps out there what AI is, ChatGPT and Bard. Both said roughly the same thing but I copied a bit of Bard for here as it was a little less verbose, this is a bit of what it said; Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a machine to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. This can include tasks such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making. AI systems are typically trained on large amounts of data, which allows them to learn patterns and make predictions. AI is used in a wide variety of applications AI is a rapidly developing field, and new applications are being developed all the time. As AI systems become more sophisticated and powerful, they are likely to have a major impact on our lives in the years to come. AI is still in its early

Wats on Friday, Soccer on Sunday

Image
It's Monday already and the sporty weekend has meant I didn't put together the slideshow of the images I planned so here are a few of the snaps I took anyway😁. Not only that but, unlike most of the current blogs, I will include a Relive as it shows the Wats on Friday. So here to start is the short sticky rice stroll on Friday and I just felt like snapping a few shrines and wats along the way. The Relive shows where they are And here are a few of the snaps I have an app on the PC that grades my photos and one of the things it does is pick snaps that will get billions of social media hits, on this walk this was the first one it picked I am not sure why, maybe that's why I don't get a lot of social media hits😃 Here are a couple from Wat Rong Don Chai And of course there was Was San Klang Tai  And the one I posted on Facebook that attracted a little interest Like me some people liked how this came out. Well no special effects, no tweaking. It was because I can have my ph

Burg Back to Chiang Rai

It's a bit difficult to judge the editing of these bike videos. I try to get the length in what I think would be the Goldilocks zone but what is the Goldilocks zone? There is quite a bit of recording to edit from the on-bike camera which I usually shoot in a not too high frame timelapse. I then cut and splice, speed and slow sections, but looking at this I wonder if the twisty turny bits were ramped up a bit too much. For info they are 3X ramped up. The reason for the detail is I would really appreciate some comments on how long you think the bike videos should be and if, like me, you think the interesting twisty-turny bits should not be so frantic, lets face it, Barry Sheene. If you do comment it may help if you are commenting as someone interested in bike rides or one looking more to see the experience and location. Many thanks. Here is the ride back...

A rainy end to the weekend

Image
I wonder how many times I will reference the rainy season. Don't get me wrong, I love the rainy season even if on Saturday evening I decided to stay indoors rather than get a little damp. On Sunday however, I had a couple of strolls culminating in a wander into the city where I enjoyed a glass of wine at Moment & Wine   Before the Red Lion for a very very tasty roast beef and the MotoGP on their big screens. Mind you, the forecasters did say to expect rain around 7pm... Coffee.

Baan Dam & the Clock Tower by Burg

Image
I managed to get a trip that I have been promising myself for some while. So despite a little rain, I got the leg over the Burg and went to Chiang Rai, via Mae Kuang. Here is the video of the trip to there. A most enjoyable ride.

September Start

Image
It's been a bit of a struggle getting stuff together to post or even blog over the weekend, although my Relive stuff is largely resigned to Facebook posts rather than the blog I like it to work. And... This weekend it stopped working. Unfortunately I am one of those blokes that cant stand stuff that doesn't do what it says on the tin... And that occupies me. I think it is working now albeit a little slow, we will see today as I use it to track a tour for our guests. I did see a couple of things as I went on my customary wanders so here they are on the blog, just so you don't think I have forgotten you. The Saturday morning walk and I got my feet well and truly soaked after the heavy overnight rain Nice flowers though A beer at Chipmunks And the Red Lion roast Then a Sunday morning sticky rice stroll and I cam across this place And another roast, this time at OMG And now, as I am pressed for time... Coffee.

Chiang Rai on the Burg Slideshow

Image
I went to Chiang Rai at the end of August 2023. Maybe you knew that already, maybe you also know that it is rainy season, but no rain in this blog at it is a short slideshow of the trip. There will be rain I am sure when I get round to the ride video but in the meanwhile here is the slideshow. Just a word of warning, if you don't want to see wood carvings that include peoples bits and bobs, lagely male and I hope exaggurated dont watch the slideshow below. Did you see this one on the slideshow? Well I had an idol editor play with is and in a couple of clicks of the mouse I got this, So with that I will have a brew. Coffee,
